What is Holiday Numbers?

Holiday Numbers Voice-over-IP (VoIP) is the method of using your Internet connection (normally broadband, 3G, 3G+ or 4G) to carry voice calls, instead of using your regular telephone line.

Holiday Numbers integrates all of these with great rates, convenience and flexibility. Best of all, Holiday Numbers offers value added services at no extra cost, and pay-as-you go for chargeable calls. Only calls to the PSTN numbers are chargeable. Incoming calls and all outgoing calls to other VoIP users are free of charge – so get your friends and colleagues all signed up too! You can forward your calls to Skype account, Google or other compatible SIP services.

Holiday Numbers can allocate PSTN phone numbers in Europe, America (South, Central and North), Australia, Asia and Africa for incoming calls/ faxes. Holiday Numbers is, however, available to anyone anywhere in the world. You’re welcome to join and use Holiday Numbers from anywhere!


What do I need to use Holiday Numbers?
You need broadband or other high-speed Internet connection. VoIP will also work over ISDN, and even analogue (dial-up) Internet connections, though not very good. A means of making the voice calls, you can use Holiday Numbers with any SIP compatible hardware, for example a router with VoIP phone ports (e.g. DrayTek Vigor, Linksys, Grandstream, Cisco series), an Analogue Phone Adaptor, a standalone SIP phone or Softphone on your PC.


What if I don’t have broadband access?
If you don’t have broadband, or you’re away from your broadband line, you can still take advantage of Holiday Numbers low calling rates. Once you have a Holiday Numbers account, you can dial one of our Portal Local Access Numbers for the country where you reside and make calls to any destination at your normal Holiday Numbers rates, using your pre-paid credit. You can also pick up your voicemail from your email or any phone worldwide by dialling our.


HOLIDAY NUMBERS FEATURES:

Pinless Dialing.

With the Holiday Numbers PINLESS feature you can activate the numbers where you will call from most frequently (your mobile/cell phone, home phone, office phone) and our system will automatically recognise your number and authenticate the call. There’s no need to remember an account number and PIN when you dial from numbers that you have previously setup. SMS / WEB Callback.

Web callback allows users to initiate a phone call by completing and submitting a form on our website through your phone web browser or computer. Holiday Numbers Web Callback processes the submitted information and connects the user with the other party. For the SMS callback; A user will initiate a call by sending a text to our Callback server which will include both the number initiating the call (A) and the destination (B) number in the text message. Worldwide Access.

Whether you take a short trip or extended time away, use your Holiday Numbers account with any broadband Internet connection(3G, 4G, or WiFi). When staying at a hotel or with friends and family you can make and receive calls using your Internet telephone, telephone adaptor or a “softphone” and a headset connected to any computer. Many phone adaptors and Internet telephones are small enough to travel with and can be connected to any Internat LAN anywhere in the world. Once connected and registered, you will be ready to make and receive calls as needed.

SIP Provider. 

Your SIP device e.g. VoIP-enabled router/ adaptor, or softphone logs into the Holiday Numbers SIP Server to register it online. You can then receive VoIP calls from any other compatible user or PSTN if you have a DID number alocated to your account.

SIP-to-SIP VoIP calls.

You can dial any other Holiday Numbers user just by dialling their Holiday Numbers user ID on your VoIP device. The call is, of course, completely free of charge. Holiday Numbers will allocate you a real telephone number (DID) so that any person on the PSTN (a regular phone line or mobile phone) can call you. This is routed through to your VoIP device or softphone so that you can receive the call. That’s a real phone number to receive calls on.

VoIP-to-PSTN Calls. 

In this case, the user with a SIP device lifts his handset and dials a PSTN telephones number. The call is then passed to the Holiday Numbers gateway, which then connects the SIP user to the remote PSTN number. The cost of the call is deducted from the user’s pre-paid Holiday Numbers calling credit. You can check your current credit and call history on the web site at any time when you login to your account.

PSTN-to-PSTN Calls. 

Now with Holiday Numbers, when you’re away from your VoIP phone, you can dial into the Holiday Numbers service from any regular phone using our Portal Local Access numbers and then make calls using your existing Holiday Numbers calling credit at your normal Holiday Numbers call tariff or Holiday Numbers Prepaid Calling Card. Use it from landlines, mobiles and payphones for worldwide calling.

Answerphone/Voicemail. 

Callers can leave a message when you don’t answer a call, out of office hour, or when you are busy. The message is then emailed to you as a sound file which you can listen to from anywhere in the world! This extra service is can be activated free of charge on your account. There are no ongoing rental charges for this service – it remains active as long as your account does. You can also pick up your messages remotely by phone by through our calling Portal.

PSTN Access to Holiday Numbers. 

If you’re away from your VoIP device/phone, you can dial into our calling Portal Access number for your country from any phone line or mobile, enter your account details and then make calls using your Holiday Numbers credit at your low Holiday Numbers rates or send a text to our callback number and the system will automatically make the calls for you and link the 2 phones together.

Call Forwarding. 

Divert/ forward your Holiday Numbers account to any phone number, worldwide. Anyone calling either your SIP address or your Holiday Numbers PSTN number will be put through to your forwarded destination, wherever you are. The cost of the diverted leg is deducted from your Holiday Numbers calling credit at normal Holiday Numbers rates. You can turn the diversion on/off when you choose. You can however have more than one (1) forwarding numbers.

Automatic time schedule. 

The forwarding/ diversion to your chosen destination can be scheduled to any specified time of day/ night automatically.

Group Calling. 

Set up to two or more other Holiday Numbers accounts to ring simultaneously on the same incoming PSTN phone number, allowing more people to pick up incoming calls. This might be ideal, for example, if you have three workers in different locations and you want any of them to pick up incoming calls. Each location still has it’s own Holiday Numbers account but can share the same incoming phone number.

Download Call History. 

You can download your call history in a ‘CSV format’ (Excel sheet) file, listing the time, date, destination and cost of all calls made for up to the period specified.

Fax-to-Email. 

This service gives you a dedicated phone number (e.g UK +44203, US +1462, or from any of the 70 destination country we offer) for people to send you faxes on. The fax is then immediately forwarded to your chosen email address so that you can view it anywhere in the world or in your own office without having to waste paper.

Non-Expiring Call Credit. 

Call Credit for PSTN calls is purchased Pay-as-you-go, so there is no ongoing commitment or fixed monthly charge. Call Credit doesn’t expire – it doesn’t have to be used within a specific time period as long as the account remains active.

Multi-Device Calling. 

You can have your Holiday Numbers account active on as many devices as you like, anywhere in the world. This means that when someone calls you, a phone can ring in more than one location, for example at home and at work simultaneously, so wherever you are, you can answer your calls.

Music on Hold. 

When your device places a call on hold, the Holiday Numbers server will play pleasant music to the other party so they know they’ve not been disconnected and this requires SIP device with a SIP ‘hold’ facility.

Call Transfer. 

Transfer call to another Holiday Numbers user/ location, this feature requires VoIP device with SIP ‘hold’ facility.

Local number of your choice (DID). 

You can get your own telephone number with any area code you like in 70 countries(e.g. London 0203…) for callers to reach you on from anywhere in the world. The rental charge for the Local number is very cheap compared to other providers around..

Caller Display. 

Holiday Numbers will deliver the Caller ID of all calls to your VoIP equipment or softphone except where witheld or unavailable. Caller ID is also shown in your Holiday Numbers voicemail messages when they are emailed to you. Physical display of the caller ID does also require a VoIP adaptor / phone which can display the caller ID.

Conference Call.

Business account holders are automaticaly given the access to conferencing facility through  the Holiday Numbers network without any extra cost.
